Yet Battlefield 6 is striving to change that.
It's the newest release in a long-standing military shooter line commonly positioned as a more authentic alternative to the CoD series.
This game has seldom succeeded to match its most famous rival in regards of sales or players, but there are signs the latest version could close the gap.

"We probably would find it impossible to build and design this new game lacking the lessons we gained in the last release," she tells our team.
A key those takeaways was to engage the community involved early, and the developers launched exclusive player playtests in recent months.
This "reaction was explosively favorable," says the manager.
One more omitted component from the last game was a solo experience, which has been reintroduced this time around.
The UK studio project head Fasahat "Fas" Salim is the individual responsible for "making sure those stages are as fun and engaging as feasible for the audience."
Regardless of claims that the size of the project had created pressure for the various teams working together internationally to develop the game, he is optimistic about the process.
"Collaborating with varied backgrounds, distinct backgrounds, it's a really fascinating setting to be part of on a regular basis," he explains.

Regarding the pressure on the crew, he comments: "We experience demand but also it's thrilling.

Emerging Developer Adds New Insight
This is definitely true of at least an individual developer, visual designer Vlad.
The recent hire makes the visual ambiance that shape the mood, tone, and focus of the solo experience.
Vlad finished an internship at the studio before getting a job there, and currently works on a part-time basis while completing his digital arts qualification at the university.
He states he's a dedicated fan of the games, and recalls enjoying the earlier title of the line at a friend's house when he was younger.
To be on it now, as his first professional role, "is hard to believe as actual."
"It's very amazing witnessing the advertising in many places," he shares.
"Realizing that I have added my own thing into the project is truly dreamlike."
