Finally fans can commence: opening five minutes of the fifth season of Stranger Things unveiled.
The concluding season of Netflix's supernatural smash hit Stranger Things is expected to be one of the biggest shows of the year. Part one airs on the 27th of November, yet a clip of the spine-tingling first five minutes has been released digitally.
The Beginning: An Echo to the 1980s
The segment, called the prologue, takes fans back to the start of the series in the year 1983, in the wake of the disappearance of Will Byers.
"Do I remain or leave?" the character hums as he tries to remain composed in the Upside Down.
Events swiftly escalate into horrifying the moment a fearsome beast materializes and drags the character to the lair of Vecna. "Finally, we can begin," he informs the youth as shooting a tendril through his esophagus. "We together, we shall create truly magnificent deeds in unison."
Air Dates and Cinematic Screenings
Part two of the last season will be broadcast on Boxing Day, and the last chapter available on January 1 – which will also be shown in select cinemas.
Story Outline
The synopsis explains: "The fall of that year. Hawkins bears the marks by the creation of gateways, and our heroes come together by one objective: hunt down and destroy the foe. However his location is unknown – where he is and plans unclear. Making more difficult the task, authorities has enforced the community under strict lockdown and increased the pursuit for the character, compelling her to go underground. As the commemoration of the event looms, comes an intense, known fear. Creator Comments
The surprise clip was shared on the video platform subsequent to the series' LA debut on Thursday, featuring actors including the lead actress and her co-star.
